I am starting Bolivia series about Kari Kari an amazing mountain range in the middle of Bolivia. Independently from its parent the Andes is worth the trek for the views alone.
The fact you can trek without seeing a soul for hours on end you can pay for the guide and enjoy an amazing day. Some of the artificial lakes date back from the 1570’s and supplies the water for the local communities and the city of Potosi.
My photos for today are the views at over 5000 Meters (16,400 Ft)
PS: I forgot to mention the only other person we (my Guide and I) met was an 89 year old Quechua lady who beat us to the Mountain, herding her Llamas… talk about being fit and the shame of it all ! it was a privilege to meet her
