Mexican Celebration

Today is the anniversary of the start of the Mexican Revolution, the year was 1910 and Porfirio Diaz had governed since 1884.

This photo was taken in 2013, the date is key this was the last celebration of the incumbent, Mexico was at that stage fairly peaceful and no inkling what was about to happen in 6 weeks time. The country was modernising and economic prospects were good.

I call this photo Porfirio Diaz last celebration based on the book of the centenary celebrations that took place in September of 1910.
